2 men hurt in blast at Indianapolis power plant

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A utility company says two workers were hurt in an explosion at an Indianapolis power plant.

Indianapolis Power and Light Co. spokeswoman Crystal Livers-Powers says the two men were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. WTHR-TV reports that the explosion happened about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in the area of coal pulverizers at IPL's generating plant on the city's south side.

Livers-Powers says no customers lost service from the explosion and that its cause was under investigation.
