They will be performing a 10-weekend run of shows at The Venetian starting Dec. 7. The couple announced the news Tuesday during a news conference at the hotel.

The show is called “Soul2Soul,” named after their hugely successful co-headlining tours in 2000 and 2006. According to Pollstar, their 2006-07 “Soul2Soul II” run remains the highest grossing North American tour in country music history.

Jones writing book

“Partridge Family” fans beware: Shirley Jones is writing a memoir that will reveal she was no Shirley Partridge.

The Oscar-winning actress and singer, best known as the matriarch of the singing TV family, has a book deal with an imprint of Simon & Schuster. She warns in a statement: Anyone expecting the “All-American mom,” Shirley Partridge, should be ready for a “few jolts.”

Gallery Books announced Tuesday that Jones will write openly about stars such as Frank Sinatra and her famous son, David Cassidy.

The news came Tuesday from Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Officer Robert Iger, who said during a company earnings call that the filmmaker is returning to write and direct the sequel adapted from the Marvel Comics tales.
