Coroner updates Kosciusko deaths case

Results from the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center autopsies of a Warsaw-area couple found dead Tuesday indicate that the husband’s death was self-inflicted, but the manner of his wife’s death remains undetermined.

James Willis Kinzer, 47, died from gunshot wound to the neck, according to initial results released in a written statement Wednesday by Kosciusko County Coroner John Sadler.

Jane Ellen Kinzer, 46, died from a single gunshot wound to the head; and the “results were inconclusive as to the wound being self-inflicted or not and therefore remain undetermined,” the statement said.

The two were found Tuesday morning in a mobile home at 2789 S. Country Club Road, south of Warsaw at Brown’s Mobile Home Park.

The deaths remain under investigation pending toxicology by the coroner’s office and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, the statement said.
