Keys to the game

Rain cut short a late Fort Wayne rally as the TinCaps lost to West Michigan 5-3 in a game called in the seventh inning.

Fort Wayne had runners on the corners with two outs in the seventh when the game was first delayed and eventually called.

Here are the highlights.

Key hit(s): Aaron Westlake tied the game at 2 with a triple in the fourth inning. He then scored the go-ahead run on a single by Jeff McVaney.

Roster move: The TinCaps announced a roster move, activating pitcher Dennis O'Grady from the disabled list and placing pitcher Cody Hebner on the suspended list.

"He broke some rules, organization rules," Fort Wayne manager Jose Valentin said. "The rules are the rules, they know about it."

Streak over: Travis Jankowski went 0 for 4, snapping a 10-game hitting streak. Jankowski hit a line drive to third in the seventh inning. Jason King made a diving catch to rob Jankowski of a hit.

Quotable:

"You've got no control of the weather."
