TinCaps lose rain-shortened game

Zach Maggard had a home run and an RBI double for West Michigan in a 5-3 victory against the TinCaps in front of 6,757 fans Thursday at Parkview Field.

The game was called because of rain in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Austin Hedges hit a home run for Fort Wayne, his ninth of the year, in the loss.
