(Kenny) Reiter is a Komet (probably)

Thorne also re-signs; sniper Chabot signs, too

The Komets' goaltending duo will likely be Charlie Effinger and Kenny Reiter.

The Komets announced today the American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers plan to assign Reiter to Fort Wayne, assuming he doesn't make the AHL club.

Reiter, 25, is the younger brother of former Komets goalie Kevin Reiter and the man who backstopped Minnesota-Duluth to the NCAA championship in 2011.

The Komets also re-signed forward Stephon Thorne, 22, who had 11 goals and 32 points in 64 games last season, while landing former Arizona Sundogs star J.P. Chabot.

Chabot, 24, had 22 goals and 44 points in 63 games last season. He will reunite with his former Arizona captain, Tyler Butler.

All summer long, I thought these would be the two goalies the Komets tried to get, and they must be ecstatic they landed them. This is a really amazing duo of goalies, maybe the best they've had in the AA level, if you think about it.
