Rep. Pete Visclosky, D-1st, and Hammond Mayor Tom McDermott also will be at the fundraiser, according to an invitation to the event obtained by Politico reporter Alexander Burns.

Elizabeth Shappell, communications director for Donnelly’s campaign, later confirmed details of the report.

Donnelly, who represents Indiana’s 2nd District in the House, is running against Republican state Treasurer Richard Mourdock for the Senate seat held since 1977 by Republican Sen. Richard Lugar. Mourdock defeated Lugar in the May 8 GOP primary election.
