N. Clinton recycling site is closing

Trailers head to Leo-Cedarville

FORT WAYNE – The recycling operation behind the Scott's store on Fort Wayne's North Clinton Street will cease operations after it closes 4 p.m. Saturday, the Allen County Solid Waste Management District announced Friday.

Fewer people have been using the site in the past few years, the district said, especially after the introduction of one-bin curbside recycling in Fort Wayne.

The trailers will relocate to Leo-Cedarville and begin accepting recyclables on Monday, the announcement said. The site is at 14701 Schwartz Road, across from Riverside Gardens Park
