CHEERS to whomever paid our bill at B. Antonios Pizza July 14. We attended church and after mass decided that B. Antonios on Lima Road would be a new location for us to try. As we were departing, we were curious who the generous people were and asked at the cashier station for identification of these individuals. No names were left.

JEERS to the person who ran us off the road June 30. About 6:15 a.m. on North Clinton Street, we looked up to see a full-sized white pick-up truck coming down the middle of the road at us. The world does not revolve around you!
GREG and RUTH HAZELET Fort Wayne
CHEERS to the wonderful family, friends and neighbors who, without our asking, turned out to help clean up the debris from a large tree in our yard after the storm. Thanks to Dennis Anderson, Grant and Kendra Anderson, Kurt Lothamer, Leo Bennett, Ezekeall, Domenic and Tyrece Easton and Rayce Deck.

CHEERS to the crowd that attended the Three Rivers Festival parade. It just gets bigger and better each year. Our veterans appreciate and enjoy it so very much.
CHEERS also to Andy Peters, who graciously agreed to pull our parade wagon in the absence of our regular driver.

CARL FOWLER The Korean War Veterans Association, Indiana Chapter One
JEERS to Indianas NewsCenter for the little coverage and respect for our team – the Komets – during coverage of the Three Rivers Festival parade. I know time is limited, but they are worth it!

CHEERS to Will Coursen-Carr, Fort Waynes first recipient of the title Mr. Baseball. Congratulations, also, for earning the Gatorade/ESPN Indiana State Player of the Year.
... to the South Side baseball team. They made history for themselves, winning South Sides first sectional title and recording 20 victories, both firsts in the schools 90 years of existence. Congratulations to seniors Will Coursen-Carr, Evan Vansumeren, Jordan Joyner, John Dukarski and James Johnson.
to Greg Jones and The Journal Gazette sports staff who helped provide statistical information to the states media and covered South Sides state run and magical season.
ANDY DUKARSKI Baseball statistician, South Side High School
CHEERS to the three kind people who stopped July 6 to help and found the diamond that fell out of my ring at Jefferson Pointe. Yes, it is valuable, but the real value is that it was a gift from husband, who is deceased.
JANET DeROCHE Fort Wayne
CHEERS to the employees at the AT&T store on State Boulevard who were extremely helpful to us during the sudden storm. I was driving with my children, and my daughter became very frightened. They allowed us to come into their place of business and even provided the children with iPads to play with while we waited for the storm to stop. I never got their names but much appreciated the kindness of strangers that day.
