The Rape Aggression Defense class is billed as a practical self-defense course which teaches risk avoidance and escape techniques, the sheriff’s department said.
Sheriff’s department officers will teach the class, which will include a short lecture, two nights of practicing techniques and a simulation on the last night.
The self-defense class runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 24, 25 and 26.
Women can bring along their daughters, 12 and older, to share in the class.
Participants must make a $20 deposit that will be returned the third night.
