TinCaps trail after three innings

Dayton leads Fort Wayne 2-0 after three innings Sunday at Parkview Field.

The TinCaps made two errors in the first inning, leading to Dayton's two runs.

Center fielder Travis Jankowski dropped a fly ball hit by Joe Terry. Juan Perez moved from first to third on the error. Spencer Dickinson then hit a grounder back to the mound. Erik Cabrera threw to second for an out, but Jace Peterson couldn't hold on for a shot at a double play. Perez scored on the play.

Kyle Waldrop then doubled. Dickinson originally held up a third, but the relay throw bounced away from first baseman Connor Powers for an error. Dickinson scored to make it 2-0.
