  • Women's volleyball picked 2nd in Summit
    The IPFW women’s volleyball was picked to finish second in the Summit League preseason poll of the league’s head coaches. The Mastodons received 53 points. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams.

    The IPFW women's basketball's 2014-15 schedule is a challengng one, featuring seven opponents who played in the postseason last year, along with two games against Big Ten opponents, and a Big 12 opponent.
  • 2 men's soccer players honored
    IPFW men's soccer players Oscar Uyamadu and Corey Tom being were recently named to the Summit League All-Conference Second Team by College Sports Madness.

Mastodons lose soccer opener

IPFW opened its women's soccer season with a 1-0 loss at Butler on Sunday.

Butler's only goal came with three minutes left in the first half, but it turned out to be enough to sustain the Bulldogs for the remainder of the match.

The Mastodons' best scoring chance came from Erin Gill, whose shot from 5 yards out was stopped by the Butler goalkeeper.

IPFW will play host to Toledo on Friday at the Hefner Soccer Complex, beginning at 7 p.m.

That same night, the IPFW women's volleyball team will open its season against Murray State at the Gates Center.
