Coats to speak in Bluffton

Sen. Dan Coats, R-Ind., will speak to the Wells County Chamber of Commerce in Bluffton on Wednesday, his office said Monday.

He plans to talk about the "fiscal cliff" -- the term for a predicted economic crisis early next year if federal income tax cuts are allowed to expire at the same time $110 billion in automatic spending reductions are scheduled to take effect.

Coats also will discuss "how Washington can learn from Hoosiers to help solve our nation's economic problems," his office said.

He will speak at 4:30 p.m. at 211 W. Water St., Bluffton.
