Governor candidates to talk policy

It's not a debate, but the three candidates running to be Indiana's next govenror will share the same stage Tuesday night at an event hosted by the IU Public Policy Institute at IUPUI.

All tickets to the 7 p.m. free event have been distributed. But those interested in watching can use a live web stream at www.policyinstitute.iu.edu.

Retired Chief Justice Randall Shepard, executive in residence at the Public Policy Institute, will have individual 25-minute conversations with Democrat John Gregg, Republican Mike Pence and Libertarian candidate Rupert Boneham.

The back-to-back-to-back conversations will focus on the policy options developed for the Policy Choices for Indiana's Future project, in the areas of education and workforce development, energy and the environment, and state and local tax policy.
