Civic and community members turned out Monday to recognize a half-century of real estate service.
Stephen J. Wesner, a senior broker with BND Commercial, was guest of honor during an afternoon surprise celebration in his honor at Club Soda in Fort Wayne. The event included a proclamation by Mayor Tom Henry who dubbed the occasion Stephen J. Wesner Day.

According to the firms website, Wesner joined BND Commercial, 1021 S. Calhoun St., as part of the Goldstine Knapke acquisition in August 2010. He began his career in commercial real estate in 1962.
Wesner graduated with a bachelors degree in business from Indiana University. Besides involvement in multiple professional organizations, he is board president for the Robert Goldstine Foundation, which provides funding for economic development, the arts, civic projects and human services.
