The producers of “Live! With Kelly” say a new co-host will be revealed on the show Sept. 4.

Disney-ABC Domestic Television said Monday that Kelly Ripa will officially announce her new partner as he or she joins her on stage that morning. By then, Ripa will have welcomed 59 guest co-hosts since Regis Philbin retired from the show last November. The company says the chosen one will come for that large pack.

The day before the big revelation, Ripa will host the show solo for the first time.

Philbin, who created the show, exited at age 80 after presiding more than 28 years alongside several co-hosts.

Ripa became his on-air partner in 2001.

‘Sopranos’ stars reunite for kids film

Nickelodeon is reuniting four members of the classic mob drama “The Sopranos” for a kids TV movie.

The new film, “Nicky Deuce,” stars Michael Imperioli and Steve Schirripa. They played gang members Christopher and Bobby. Also starring are Tony Sirico and Vincent Curatola, who played fellow mobster Paulie and rival boss Johnny “Sack.”

It’s the first time they have performed together since “The Sopranos” ended five years ago.

The cast of the new film also includes veteran actress Rita Moreno and Cristine Prosperi of “Degrassi: The Next Generation.”

“Nicky Deuce” is based on the children’s book of the same title authored by Schirripa and Charles Fleming.

It’s set to premiere next year on Nickelodeon, the network said Monday.

TV implies more nudity, group says

A watchdog group says broadcast television is implying a lot more nudity in prime time than it used to.

The Parents Television Council said Monday that its researchers found 76 instances where a person appeared nude, with private parts obscured, in prime time last season. It happened on 37 shows.

The group says that’s a sharp rise from the 15 instances the networks aired the previous season.

The group said it will complain about the development to the Federal Communications Commission.

Fox to distribute DreamWorks films

DreamWorks Animation, the movie studio behind “Kung Fu Panda” and “Madagascar,” says its films will be distributed by 20th Century Fox next year.

The five-year deal replaces an existing distribution agreement DreamWorks has with Viacom’s Paramount Pictures.

The announcement Monday came after DreamWorks had contemplated distributing its films on its own.

The arrangement brings DreamWorks’ animated titles together with those of Fox, whose Blue Sky Studios produced the computer-animated hits “Ice Age” and “Rio.”

DreamWorks will also distribute its content to TV networks in the U.S. without paying a fee.
