The Purdue men's basketball team announced its non-conference schedule on Friday.
The Boilermakers open the season with the 2K Sports Classic. Purdue will play its first two games at Mackey Arena on Nov. 9 and 11 against opponents yet to be determined. ESPN and Gazelle Group have not yet finalized those contests.
The 2K Sports Classic concludes with two games at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Boilermakers face Villanova on Nov. 15 and then meet either Alabama or Oregon State the following day.
Purdue is home Nov. 21 against UNC-Wilmington. The team goes on the road to face Clemson on Nov. 28 as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
Purdue returns to Mackey Arena for games against Xavier (Dec. 1) and Lamar (Dec. 4).
The Boilermakers are at Eastern Michigan on Dec. 8.
Purdue meets Notre Dame as part of the Crossroads Classic on Dec. 15 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Purdue faces Ball State on Dec. 18 at Mackey Arena. The Boilermakers are home Dec. 29 against William & Mary.
The final non-conference game of the regular season takes place Jan. 19, a home game against West Virginia.
Purdue has exhibition home games against Montevallo (on Oct. 30) and Newberry (Nov. 3). Time and television information, along with the complete Big Ten schedule, will be announced "in the near future," according to the release.
