For starters

Fort Wayne plays Lansing at 7:05 tonight in game three of a four game series. The scheduled starters are Colin Rea for the TinCaps and Justin Nicolino for the Lugnuts. Eight games remain in the regular season, and the TinCaps are currently a playoff qualifier. They are tied with Lake County and due to Midwest League tiebreakers, the Captains would be the second half champions and the TinCaps would be the second half wild card if the tie remained intact. Fort Wayne and Lake County lead West Michigan, the next closest team in the standings, by two games. Airtime is 6:45 on 1380 ESPN and The TinCaps, in conjunction with the San Diego Padres, announced the following roster moves today:

Infielder BJ Guinn was reinstated from the disabled list. Guinn, 23, was placed on the disabled list August 20. In 13 games with Fort Wayne this season, the California native has hit .233 with no home runs and three runs batted in.

Infielder Connor Powers was placed on the disabled list, retroactive to August 24th. Powers, 24, was transferred from Advanced-A Lake Elsinore to Fort Wayne on August 14. In six games with Fort Wayne he has hit .048 (1-21).
