ISU's business school moves into restored building

TERRE HAUTE — A former federal building is new home of Indiana State University's business school, thanks to a $20 million renovation.

ISU's Scott College of Business reopened last week in the art deco and Federalist-styled building in time for the first day of fall classes.

Business professor Bruce McLaren tells WTHI-TV that the downtown Terre Haute building that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places is "a piece of our history." It boasts 12 classrooms, a student cafe and several common meeting areas.

ISU senior Tyler Brosey calls the historic building "the coolest building on campus." The building's restoration took six years.
