Fort Wayne wraps up a seven-game road trip tonight as it plays the finale of a four-game series against Lansing. The scheduled starters are Ruben Mejia for the TinCaps and Anthony DeSclafani for the Lugnuts. With seven games to play in the regular season, the TinCaps trail Lake County by one game in the standings. The Captains currently lead the second half playoff race, with Fort Wayne as the wild card. West Michigan trails the TinCaps by one game. Airtime is 6:45 on 1380 ESPN and ESPNFortWayne.com. The Tincaps made the following roster moves: Catcher Matt Colantonio was placed on the disabled list. Colantonio, 23, is hitting .255 with no home runs and 11 RBI in 44 games with Fort Wayne. Catcher Chris O'Dowd was transferred from Eugene to Fort Wayne. O'Dowd, 21, was selected by San Diego in the 23rd round of the 2012 Draft out of Dartmouth College. He hit .239 as a senior with one home run and 15 RBI. In 26 games with Short-Season Eugene this year, he hit .104 with two RBI. He has also played eight games with Class-A Advanced Lake Elsinore, going 9-29 (.310) with two runs batted in.
