McGill is Summit League Player of Week

Not only did IPFW tip off its 2012 women's volleyball season by going 2-1 in last weekend's matches, but senior Tessa McGill was named the Summit League Player of the Week.

McGill, who has won the award six times, set a school record with 28 digs in the Matodons' straight-sets victory over Murray State.

She had 21 digs in a 3-0 loss to Cleveland State, and 19 digs IPFW's 3-0 win over Kent State.

McGill was named to the all-tournament team.

IPFW takes its 2-1 record against Ball State on Wednesday, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Gates Center.
