Virtual hearing on raw milk ends soon

Hoosiers have only a few days left to give their views on the sale of raw milk in Indiana.

The Indiana State Board of Animal Health opened a “virtual public hearing” online on June 1 to gather input from the public without the geographic and time limitations of a traditional public hearing; the virtual hearing ends Saturday.

This is the public’s last chance to submit comments for or against the sale of raw milk, as well as suggestions for any potential change to Indiana law. Those who submit comments must provide a name and contact information, in case followup is needed.

To submit comments, go to www.boah.in.gov and click on the “What’s New” link or the main banner.

Those without Internet access are welcome to submit comments by mail to BOAH; Discovery Hall, Suite 100; 1202 E. 38th St.; Indianapolis, IN 46205-2898; Attn: Raw Milk Comments.
