Steven Teders, left, and Victor Gonzalez from A Party Apart unfold another bounce house at Headwaters Park pavilion where the men inflated seven houses for drying Wednesday. Most dry in a matter of hours, but the Log Jammer, background, is a combination bounce house and water slide, and takes overnight to dry out from the rain.

Shooter's Comments:

I was driving down Clinton Street and saw an enormous bounce house (bounce hut, bounce castle?) about three stories high at Headwaters Park east, so I had to stop and find out what was going on.

I wasn't aware of any festival coming up, especially in the middle of the week. It turns out that a crew from A Party Apart was inflating seven houses to dry them out under the pavilion roof.

Apparently the party-supply company has an agreement with the parks department to do this. Their own parking lot was also full of bouncers. The large bouncer visible from the street is the Log Jammer, a combination bouncer and water slide.
