Two people were seriously injured in a motorcycle crash about 7 p.m. Wednesday in north Fort Wayne, according to city police.
Police believe the motorcycle was heading south on Interstate 69, and for some reason, the operator lost control as the bike was getting on the ramp to go east on Interstate 469. The riders, both wearing helmets, were thrown from the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist and his passenger, a woman, were in critical condition at the scene.
Glenn R. Howerton, 60, and Joy D. Howerton, 56, both of Eureka Springs, Ark., remained hospitalized in critical condition on Thursday morning, according to a written statement from the Fort Wayne Police Department.
The eastbound I-469 exit from southbound I-69 was closed while authorities investigated the crash.
