For starters, a win and TinCaps are in

Fort Wayne can wrap up a playoff berth win a victory today against West Michigan.

Erik Cabrera will be on the mound for the TinCaps in the final home game of the regular season.

The TinCaps (36-30 second half) have a two-game lead over West Michigan (34-32). A win tonight will put Fort Wayne up three with three to go. It would also give the TinCaps edge in the season series against the Whitecaps, 10-9.

Lake County holds the top spot among eligible teams in the Eastern Division. The Captains (37-29) are home today against Bowling Green. If Fort Wayne, Lake County and West Michigan finish in a three-way tie, the TinCaps would hold the tie-breaker with a win today.

Bowling Green and Lansing qualified in the first half.

Cabrera is 1-2 with a 2.46 ERA. He is making his fifth start of the year for Fort Wayne.

Kyle Ryan is on the mound for West Michigan. He is 6-7 with a 3.96 ERA. In three starts against Fort Wayne, he is 1-1 with a 3.24 ERA.
