Work at Hamilton Lake bridge postponed

Work on the bridge over the Hamilton Lake spillway has been postponed until next week, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced Tuesday.

Work to replace the bridge will begin Monday, weather permitting. The bridge is between East Bellefontaine Road and Indiana 427.

The section of road in Steuben County is designated as Indiana 1, Indiana 427 and North Wayne Street in Hamilton. The official detour will use U.S. 6, Interstate 69, U.S. 20 and Indiana 1.

The work is scheduled to be complete by late October.
