New Haven to spray for mosquitoes on Thursday

Weather permitting, the city of New Haven will spray for mosquitoes at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Primary areas will be the Meadowbrook and Lakes of Scarborough subdivisions, but other areas will be affected as well.

Mayor Terry McDonald has asked that residents remain indoors while the spray crews are in their area.

Those who do not wish to have the area near their homes sprayed should call the Utility Department at 748-7056 before 4 p.m. Thursday.

If the spraying is canceled because of rain or excessive wind, spraying will be backed up one day at a time.
