Keys to the game

Jace Peterson knocked in Lee Orr with the go-ahead run in the eighth inning as the TinCaps rallied for a 9-6 victory against Lansing in Game 2 of the Eastern Division opening round series Thursday at Cooley Law School Stadium.

With the win, the TinCaps completed a two-game sweep.

Fort Wayne rallied from a 6-0 deficit. The TinCaps will play Lake County in the Eastern Division championship round. Game 1 will be at Fort Wayne on Saturday.

Key hit: Peterson had a two-out single to right field, driving home Orr with the go-ahead run.

Big day: Orr went 3 for 5 with a home run, two doubles and three RBI.

Big comeback: Fort Wayne's rally was the largest of the season. The previous high for a comeback win was four, also against Lansing. Fort Wayne scored four runs in the seventh inninng on Thursday to tie the game at 6.

Up next: Game 1 of the Midwest League Eastern Division championship round begins at 7:05 p.m. Saturday at Parkview Field. Games 2 and 3 (if necessary) will take place at Lake County.
