Fort Wayne trails after six innings

Lansing leads Fort Wayne 6-2 after six innings of Game 2 of the Eastern Division opening round series Thursday at Cooley Law School Stadium.

The Lugnuts scored three runs in the fourth inning. Brett Lawrie had an RBI triple in the inning.

Fort Wayne scored twice in the fifth. The Lugnuts couldn't double up Jace Peterson, and Travis Whitmore scored. Lawrie then made a fielding error on a ball hit by Yeison Asencio. Kyle Gaedele scored on the miscue, cutting the deficit to 6-2.
