Sex offender admits exploitation charges

A convicted sex offender pleaded guilty to new charges this week, admitting to taking naked pictures of a young girl and possessing child pornography.

Bradley Peaver, 34, of New Haven was arrested in August on charges of child exploitation, multiple counts of possession of child pornography and a single charge of possession of marijuana or a synthetic.

A girl, known to Peaver, told her mother Peaver took pictures of her while she was naked when they went fishing together. She told police Peaver videotaped her while she was going to the bathroom in a weedy, wooded area near the pond.

As part of the plea agreement reached with prosecutors, Peaver pleaded guilty in Allen Superior Court to one count of possession of child pornography and a charge of child exploitation.

Peaver will be sentenced to a total of 11 years in prison, and the additional charges against him will be dismissed at sentencing.

In 2009, Peaver was sentenced to two years in prison after he was convicted of videotaping a naked 6-year-old girl.
