Bingham resigns

For those looking forward to games between the Komets and a Pat Bingham-coached Elmira Jackals team -- and I know I was -- I have bad news for you.

Bingham has resigned after one season with the Jackals, citing a job opportunity outside of professional hockey.

I have to believe that this -- click here -- has something to do with Bingham's departure.

He was the last person not named Al Sims to coach the Komets.
