Fort Wayne advanced to the Midwest League championship series with a 13-6 victory against Lake County in Game 3 of the Eastern Division championship series Monday at Classic Park.
It's the second Eastern Division championship in franchise history. The TinCaps won the East in 2009 on the way to winning the Midwest League title.
Fort Wayne scored six runs in the sixth inning.

Big inning: The TinCaps sent 12 batters to the plate in the sixth.
Going deep: Lee Orr, Travis Whitmore and Yeison Asencio hit home runs for Fort Wayne. Orr has three home runs in the postseason.
Still going: Travis Jankowski had a hit in the sixth inning, extending his hitting streak to 22 games.
Big relief: Colin Rea pitched three scoreless relief innings to pick up the win. Rea struck out three and gave up three hits.
Up next: Fort Wayne will face Wisconsin in the Midwest League championship series. The best-of-five series starts at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday at Wisconsin. Game 2 is 1:05 p.m. Thursday at Wisconsin (the Packers play the Bears Thursday night). The final three games are at Parkview Field. Game 3 is 7:05 p.m. Saturday. Games 4 and 5, if necessary, take place at 5:05 p.m. Sunday and 7:05 p.m. Monday.
The teams played three times in the regular season. Fort Wayne took two of three July 14-16 at Parkview Field.
