For starters

A trip to the Midwest League championship series is on the line as Fort Wayne and Lake County meet in Game 3 of the Eastern Division championship series at Classic Park in Eastlake, Ohio.

James Needy is on the mound for Fort Wayne. He went 6-3 with a 1.75 ERA in the regular season. Needy was the winning pitcher of Game 1 of the opening round series against Lansing. He pitched five innings and gave up two earned runs in a 5-2 victory.

Cody Anderson is the starting pitcher for Lake County. He went 4-7 with a 3.20 ERA. He worked three innings in a 5-4 victory against Bowling Green on Sept. 5.

The winner will face Wisconsin for the Midwest League championship. Games 1 and 2 of the best-of-five series will take place at Wisconsin. The rest of the series will be at the home of the Eastern Division's representative.
