Purdue quarterback Robert Marve is out indefinitely with an injury to his left knee, according to multiple reports.
Purdue coach Danny Hope made the announcement during his radio show.
Marve suffered the injury late in Saturday's 20-17 loss at Notre Dame.
Marve missed most of the 2010 season after suffering a knee injury in the fourth game of that season against Toledo.
Marve has completed 73.2 percent of his passes this season (41 of 56) for 414 yards. He has four touchdowns and one interception.
Marve was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA in January. He started the season opener in place of Caleb TerBush, who served a one-game suspension. Marve didn't start against Notre Dame, but threw for 119 yards and one touchdown.
