2 rob Chase Bank branch

Two men with handguns robbed the Chase Bank branch at 6141 N. Clinton St. this morning, Fort Wayne police said.

No one was injured, police said in a statement.

The statement said police were called to the branch shortly after 10 a.m. on a report of a bank robbery.

Witnesses told police that two men entered the bank, with faces concealed and carrying handguns, and demanded cash.

They may have fled with cash in two getaway vehicles, the statement said -- a boxy-style mid-'80s dark vehicle with shiny rims, and a dark small SUV.

The incident is being investigated by the Northeast Indiana Bank Robbery Task Force, which includes city police, the Allen County Sheriff's Department, Indiana State Police and the FBI.
