Fort Wayne's quest for the Midwest League championship begins today with Game 1 at Wisconsin's Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute, Wis.

Joe Ross is the starter for Fort Wayne. The right-handed pitcher was officially added to the roster today. He is pitching for the first time since Aug. 28, when he went five innings for San Diego's Short-Season A team in Eugene, Ore.

He started the season in Fort Wayne, and gave up at least five earned runs in three of his six starts. He was placed on the disabled list on May 11 after getting scratched for a start with shoulder tightness. He was 0-2 with a 6.26 ERA for the TinCaps.

He went 0-2 with a 2.03 ERA after returning from the DL for Eugene.

Jacob Barnes is the starter for Wisconsin. He went 4-7 with a 3.84 ERA.
