Colin Rea and two relievers held Wisconsin to two hits in a 5-1 victory in Game 2 of the Midwest League championship series.
The best-of-five series is tied at 1. Game 3 is 7:05 p.m. Saturday at Parkview Field.
Rea gave up one run on two hits in seven innings. He struck out three and walked two.
Lee Orr hit a solo home run to center field in the second inning. It was Orr's fourth home run of the postseason.
Fort Wayne outfielder Travis Jankowski left the game before the bottom of the first. He was hit by a pitch in the top of the inning. He took second on a wild pitch. Fort Wayne manager Jose Valentin checked on him. He stayed in for the rest of the half inning, but was replaced by Mike Gallic in the bottom of the first.
Wisconsin scored a run in the fourth inning to tie the game at 1. Nick Ramirez hit a two-out solo home run to right-center.
The TinCaps scored twice in the fifth inning to regain the lead.
Kyle Gaedele started the inning with a double. He scored on a double by Tyler Stubblefield.
Gallic then hit a grounder to shortstop. Yadiel Rivera attempted to cut down Stubblefield at third, but made a throwing error, giving Fort Wayne runners on first and third with no outs. Jace Peterson brought Stubblefield home with a sacrifice fly to center field.
Duanel Jones hit a two-run home run in the ninth.
