FORT WAYNE – Citilink officials opened their new downtown station Friday, culminating a decade of efforts to move its central transfer point.

The new station, on Baker Street between Harrison and Calhoun streets, has more room for buses and a heated and air-conditioned waiting room where riders can buy tickets, see a screen showing arrival and departure times and use the restroom.

The station begins service at 8:15 a.m. Saturday.
