Ball-State-IU updates

BLOOMINGTON - No mirrors, but a lot of smoke.

Under a cloud of smoke provided by a machine that does such a thing, Indiana University attacked the field on a Saturday night illuminated by the lights from Memorial Stadium.

Indiana took a quick 3-0 lead on Ball State with a 46-yard field goal from Mitch Ewald.

IU got to the Ball State 28-yard line, but was moved back by a false start, and the Hoosiers had to settle for the field goal.

Ball State went three-and-out on its first possession.
