Game 4 of the Midwest League championship series between Fort Wayne and Wisconsin is tied at 2 after three innings Sunday at Parkview Field.
The Timber Rattlers wasted little time scoring. Brandon Macias hit a double on the first pitch of the game by James Needy. Chadwin Stang then singled to left. The ball got past Jeremy Baltz and rolled to the wall. Macias scored on the error.
Max Walla hit a solo home run to right field in the second inning to extend the lead to 2-0.
Fort Wayne tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the third.
Jace Peterson singled and Tyler Stubblefield walked. Yeison Asencio then hit a pop-up down the right-field line. Wisconsin second baseman Adrian Williams ran a long way, but couldn't catch the ball. Peterson scored on the double, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
Travis Whitmore followed with a sacrifice fly to left field. Stubblefield scored to tie the game.
