A pizza delivery driver and a woman waiting for him have been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, Warsaw police said today.
Warsaw police were called shortly after 8:30 p.m. Friday to a pizza business in the 2500 block of East Center Street in Warsaw about a suspicious person behind the building.
Police said Mandy M. Schultz, 32, of East Market St. in Warsaw, gave officers permission to search her belongings, and that several hypodermic needles and a cellophane wrapper containing a white powdery substance that tested as methamphetamine were found.
Schultz told police she was waiting for an employee of the business to come back from a delivery, the Warsaw police said in a statement issued Monday.
It said the employee, Christopher E. Baldridge, 43, returned while officers were still on the scene. The statement said police found aluminum foil with meth inside, and several cotton balls that tested positive for meth, inside the 2000 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck he had been driving.
Each is also facing a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
