Former Notre Dame basketball star Ben Hansbrough signed a free-agent contract with the Indiana Pacers today, the NBA team announced.
Hansbrough, a 6-foot-3 guard, was named the 2010-11 Big East player of the year after he led the Irish to a 27-7 record and a No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament. He averaged a team-high 18.4 points.
Hansbrough, who is the younger brother of current Pacer Tyler, played in Europe last season and was part of the Pacrers' Summer League team in July.
The Pacers also signed former Utah center Luke Nevil.
