Indiana coach Kevin Wilson said the team's bye is coming at a good time.

"This open date comes at a good time from a recruiting perspective and also our kids have had a pretty intense preseason (and) we've worked them hard for three weeks," Wilson said during the Big Ten teleconference Tuesday.

The Hoosiers return to action Sept. 29 at Northwestern.

"I hope we'll manage it well and then expect us to come out next week and have a great week of work and then go to Evanston and see how we play."
