    Eighteen Komets road games this season will be broadcast live on MyTV Fort Wayne. Play-by-play duties will be handled by 21 Alive’s Tommy Schoegler and Kent Hormann.
  • Komets sign three players
    The Komets added goaltender Eric Levine, forward Nicola Levesque and defenseman Paul Arnott to their roster Tuesday, giving them 24 players so far for the upcoming season.

K's add 10 to training-camp roster

Ten more players have been added to the Komets training-camp roster, the club said today, bringing the total to 31 players -- 17 forwards, nine defensemen and five goaltenders.

Defenseman Scott Kishel has signed for the 2012-13 season, and nine others have been invited to the camp for tryouts.

Kishel, 23, played four seasons at Minnesota-Duluth, where his team won the 2011 national championship. The Virginia, Minn., native was selected by Montreal in the seventh round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Others added to the Komet preseason roster on tryouts Wednesday are:

Forwards

  • John Dunbar skated last season with Quinnipiac University in the ECAC.
  • Matt Atsoff skated four seasons with University of Massachusettes-Boston from 2007 to 2011. He had 18 goals and 31 points lat season with Brooklyn in the Federal Hockey League.
  • Seth Ronsberg was scouted by Komet head coach Al Sims at the Hockey World Camp in Toronto. He had 25 goals and 42 points in 58 games last season with Alexandria of the NAHL.
  • Linus Werneman, from Sweden, also attended the Hockey World Camp in Toronto.

Defensemen

  • Nicolas Thommen, from Switzerland, also was scouted by Komet head coach Al Sims at the Hockey World Camp in Toronto.
  • Daniel Nycholat made his pro appearance last season playing four games with Las Vegas in the ECHL.

Goaltenders

  • Larkin Saalfrank, a native of Fort Wayne, served as emergency backup goaltender for the Komets last year in one game and participated in Komet practices.
  • Francois Lacerte appeared the last four seasons in the QMJHL. He posted a 3.57 goals-against average, .891 save percentage and 23-27-10 record in 65 games last year with Gatineau.
  • Jeff Rose backstopped Louisiana, Pensacola and Fayetteville last season with stints in the SPHL.
The Komet camp begins Sept. 29 at Memorial Coliseum.
