Foot Traffic

The air was cool and a chill traveled up my bare legs as I took that step out the door. A pit was in my stomach, churning. I sauntered to the starting point, giving my GPS watch time to find a satellite.

Shooter's Comments: Arriving at the starting point of a 350-mile bike ride, a little sleepy-eyed myself, I was amazed at how upbeat and awake everyone was!

They were packing gear and snacks, checking tire pressure, and just generally ready to get on the road. The bicyclists left in small groups, smiling and chatting, and I was impressed with their dedication and commitment to raising money for children they will likely never meet. I also had a strong desire to get my bike out of the garage.
