  • Softball season ends
    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

Mastodons win in 4

Emily Spencer had 20 kills and 12 digs for the IPFW women’s volleyball team in a 3-1 win at South Dakota. The scores were 25-17, 19-25, 25-14, 25-23.

Kendall Wienkes added nine kills. Hailie Ripley and Jessie Manwaring had eight kills for the Mastodons (12-3, 2-1 Summit League).

Megan Steenhuysen had 44 assists. Tessa McGill had 20 digs.

Kendall Kritenbrink had 22 kills for South Dakota (7-7, 1-2).
