Men's soccer loses

The Mastodons scored an equalizing goal in the 72nd minute of the game, and forced an overtime, before the host Kansas City Kangaroos hit the back of the net with just under two minutes left in the first overtime, as IPFW fell 2-1 in overtime on Saturday afternoon in each teams' Summit League opener.

The loss drops IPFW to 0-9 on the season and 0-1 in Summit League action, while Kansas City improves to 2-4-2 and 1-0-0 in league play.

The Mastodons return to action on Tuesday for the first of two consecutive home matches for the Mastodons, when IPFW plays host to the Kentucky Wildcats at 7 p.m., before hosting Oral Roberts in a Summit League contest on Friday.
