Garrett narrowly edges Woodlan

Brandon Porter rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns as Garrett defeated Woodlan 30-26 in an ACAC game Friday.

The Railroaders (5-1, 3-0) took a 24-20 lead in the fourth quarter on a 38-yard touchdown pass from Noah Follett to Drake Landes. Colman Spencer recovered a fumble and scored to stretch the lead to 30-20.

Woodlan’s (1-5, 0-3) Jaylin Bennett rushed for a touchdown later in the quarter for the final score of the game. Bennett had 232 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the loss.

BISHOP DWENGER 27, WAYNE 0: Evan Cagle threw two touchdowns for the Saints (3-3, 3-2 SAC) in a road win. D’Marcus Moon had 141 rushing yards.

Jaylon Thomas had 73 rushing yards for Wayne (1-5, 0-4).

NORTHROP 42, FENTON (Ill.) 6: Colin Brockhouse threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns for the Bruins in a home victory. Brockhouse completed 12 of 15 passes. Brockhouse also rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown. Northrop (3-3) had 439 yards of total offense while limiting Fenton to 127 yards.

INDIANAPOLIS TECH 19, SOUTH SIDE 12: The host Archers gave up 17 points in the fourth quarter in the loss.

South Side dropped to 1-5.

CARROLL 37, BELLMONT 14: Chris Terry rushed for two touchdowns for the visiting Chargers (5-1, 3-1 NHC). Jimmy Crumley rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown in the victory. Carroll outscored Bellmont 24-0 in the second half.

Josh Hall had 52 rushing yards and two touchdowns for the Braves (3-3, 1-3).

EAST NOBLE 37, NORWELL 14: Nic Weimer threw for 306 yards and three touchdowns for East Noble (4-2, 2-2 NHC) in a home victory. Brandon Mable rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown. Piercen Harnish had two touchdowns for Norwell (0-6, 0-4).

BLUFFTON 20, SOUTHERN WELLS 0: Josh Streveler scored two touchdowns for the Tigers (5-1) in a home victory. He returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown and also scored on a 38-yard run. Cole Preston rushed for 63 yards for Southern Wells (2-4).

ADAMS CENTRAL 19, SOUTH ADAMS 7: The visiting Jets got 12 points in the fourth quarter to break the tie against the Starfires.

Adams Central (3-3) broke a three-game losing streak, while South Adams (1-5) lost its fifth straight.

CHURUBUSCO 60, WEST NOBLE 0: Jason Nicodemus scored five touchdowns, four rushing, as the visiting the Eagles (6-0, 6-0 NECC) topped the Chargers (0-6, 0-5).

HOMESTEAD 44, DEKALB 6: Frank Martin rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns as the Spartans (6-0, 4-0 NHC) picked up the road win.

WARSAW 17, GOSHEN 0: Tristan McClone rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown for the Tigers (5-1, 4-0 NLC) in a home win. Austin Head threw for one touchdown.

LAKELAND 37, EASTSIDE 21: Blake Blaker passed for 309 yards and three touchdowns in a home loss for the Blazers (2-4, 2-3 NECC).

FAIRFIELD 34, ANGOLA 14: Trevor Lynch threw two touchdown passes in the Hornets’ (1-5, 1-4 NECC) home loss. Austin Bauer caught both touchdown passes.

TIPPECANOE VALLEY 45, WABASH 0: Ben Shriver passed for 146 yards and three touchdowns in a road win for the Vikings (5-1, 4-0 TRC).

NORTHFIELD 27, WHITKO 21: Devin Gerding rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns for the Wildcats (2-4, 2-2 TRC) in the road loss.

INDIANAPOLIS MARSHALL 40, CENTRAL NOBLE 0: Alex Vice rushed for 94 yards for the Cougars (0-6) in a home loss.
