Well, this is certainly a stunner. Not.
Nothing like a little incentive, I always say, to get people off their duffs. And, let's face it, the Monday Nightmare was incentive on steroids.
And so, surprise, surprise, in a little over a day the NFL's impasse with its officials is apparently broken. Gee, nobody saw that coming.
You know what the most aggravating part of this is?
Both sides in this fiasco, it's obvious now, could have settled this long before the NFL foisted the clowns and unicycles on us. All they had to do was sit down in good faith instead of wasting time posturing, and the replacement ref disaster would never have happened.
I mean, how torqued do you suppose the Packers are right now? Months of stalling and kerfuffle, and it takes the NFL and the refs all of 36 hours or so to settle this thing -- but only after Green Bay gets jobbed out of a win.
The league owes them an apology. It owes all of us one.
