New tunes by Keys at cathedral

Alicia Keys has been getting in touch with her spiritual side, headlining “MTV Crashes Manchester” in the city’s cathedral.

The 14-time Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter said performing in a place of worship was “a real honor” and added that there was “an energy there that’s very different.”

Alongside old favorites, Keys on Monday night treated the 1,000-strong U.K. crowd to songs from her new album “Girl on Fire.”

Lowe is ‘Bachelor’

ABC says the next star of “The Bachelor” will be Sean Lowe, who was dumped on “The Bachelorette.”

The network says the 28-year-old Dallas businessman will be the one doing the choosing when “The Bachelor” returns for its 17th edition.

On the eighth edition of “The Bachelorette,” Lowe confessed his love for Emily Maynard but was eliminated just before the finale.

The 6-foot-3 Texan was a linebacker for Kansas State and worked in finance and insurance before starting a custom furniture business.

“The Bachelor” returns in January.

Gellar delivers boy

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have added a boy to their brood.

Publicist Leslie Sloane says the baby was born in Los Angeles. His name and details of the birth weren’t released.

The acting couple also has a 3-year-old daughter named Charlotte. They celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary this month.

Latin Grammy nods

Dominican singer, songwriter and producer Juan Luis Guerra is the leading nominee at the 2012 Latin Grammy Awards.

Guerra has six nods, followed by Mexican pop duo Jesse & Joy with five. Colombian rocker Juanes, Ricardo Arjona, Edgar Barrera, Carla Morrison, Arturo Sandoval, Ivete Sangalo and Caetano Veloso earned four nominations apiece.

The Latin Grammy Awards are to be presented Nov. 15 and broadcast live on Univision.
